to susceptible individuals.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
For storage and transportation purposes, use the ToughSystem 2.0 box provided and protect
the respirator from physical or chemical damage. Retain the storage box foam insert to
protect the respirator when stowed.
PREPARATION FOR USE
The following tasks must be performed prior to use:
Automatic Darkening Filter (ADF) (DXPGB2WD21 model)
Ensure the ADF is fitted correctly on welding shield in accordance with the instructions
provided with the ADF assembly. See section ‘AUTOMATIC DARKENING FILTER (ADF)’ on page
32.
Battery Charging
Refer to User Instructions supplied with the DEWALT rechargeable battery.

Battery Connection Module Installation and Removal
Insert the fully charged battery into the battery
receiver module. (Figure 1)
Mount the battery receiver module onto the user’s
belt or other suitable device.(Figure 2)
Protect the battery and battery receiver module
from fluids and liquids.
