i31: Installation type

You must determine the type of installaon: heang, air condioning or

heang/air condioning, depending on what your thermostat controls.

❶ From the "i31" display, press √ (T4).

❷ Press - or + (T2 or T3) to set the seng value and

press √ (T4) to confirm:

i32: Control type

You need to determine the type of control you want.

Proporonal-integral derivave (PID) control accurately maintains the

temperature seng, without overheang or excess energy consumpon. It

thus improves comfort and provides up to 10% energy savings.

On-o control is only recommended if PID control isn't sasfactory.

For example, it will run your heater unl the measured temperature equals

the desired temperature (temperature seng) and then the heang

switches o.

This type of control does not take into account the eect of heang inera.

The “Tips” column in the following table will help you select the seng that

is appropriate for your installaon.

(1) The control is ed with an-short cycle protecon to suppress start or stop requests when they are too short. The

an-short cycle duraon is 10% of the me base selected (e.g.: if the me base is set to 30 minutes, the an-short cycle

will be 3 minutes, i.e. the thermostat will not accept any start or stop requests that are under 3 minutes).

(2) On-o control: not compable with the RF6420 and RF6450 receivers.

❶ From the "i32" display, press √ (T4).

❷ Press - or + (T2 or T3) to set the seng value and

conrm your choice by pressing √ (T4)..
