Safety features of the unit
The heater is equipped with a number of safety devices to prevent
accidents. If any exception occurs after restarting, contact the after-sales
service.
Ignition safety. If the sensor is tripped, the fan motor and the appliance
will switch off automatically - if any exceptions occur after restarting,
contact the service department.
Power failure safety device. After a power failure, the unit will not switch
on when power is restored. If you do not press the ON/OFF button after a
power failure, the unit will not switch on.
Temperature probe abnormality detection device. Automatic extinguishing
of the temperature probe in the event of a malfunction (wire break, short
circuit). Can only operate in time control mode.
Combustion control device. Control of ignition, flame and abnormal
combustion.
Overload protection device. Fuse blows when the heater is overloaded.
Ignition device to prevent explosion. Combustion engine fan discharges
residual gas from the combustion engine (after cleaning).
Inversion protection device. When the heater is turned upside down or
subjected to a strong impact, it will automatically switch off. Check that
there are no abnormalities in the vicinity of the heater and restart the
heater.
Overheating protection device. Automatically goes off when the internal
temperature of the product is too high. Restart the heater when the
temperature drops.
Motor protection device. The motor fan discharges residual gas from the
combustion engine (after cleaning).
Switching off the heater
To switch off the heater, switch the power switch to the ‘0’ position (Fig.
B/C, 3) Then disconnect the power cord from the mains socket. After
switching off the appliance, check that the flame inside is completely
extinguished before leaving it unattended.
10. Ongoing maintenance
All maintenance must be carried out with the unit
unplugged.
Repairs are to be carried out only by qualified specialists at the points
indicated by the manufacturer.
At least once a year, a technical inspection by an authorised service is
recommended, preferably before each heating season.
Cleaning the appliance.
The appliance should be cleaned regularly. In particular, it should be
cleaned of any debris generated during the filling of the fuel tank, to which
dust and dirt easily adhere. A soft cloth should be used for cleaning. Dry
dirt can be removed with a hoover.
Do not use aggressive detergents, chemical cleaners, solvents or other
agents that may damage the surface of the unit. Do not use water.
Emptying, cleaning the fuel tank .
When the heater is in use, dirt and moisture collect in the tank, causing
condensation inside the fuel tank. If the fuel tank needs to be emptied and
cleaned, place the heater with the wheels on a slight rise.
Place the pump tube in a container to collect the fuel. The container must
be below the fuel level in the heater tank. Insert the suction nozzle into the
heater tank. Use the cushion to draw fuel from the tank. The fuel will begin
to drain into the container.
After emptying the tank, flush the tank with a small amount of fresh fuel.
Carry out the above operation periodically every 150-200 hours of
operation or if you notice a deterioration in the operating parameters.
Air filter
The air pre-filter (sponge) should be cleaned every 50 hours of operation
or when it is noticed to be dirty/clogged. To clean the filter, remove the
rear cover (Fig. F, 1) and remove the sponge filter (Fig.F, 3), rinse in warm
water, dry thoroughly and fit back in place. Do not unscrew the plastic
compressor cover (Fig. F, 2) for this purpose. Every 100 operating hours,
replace the filter on the high pressure side. Unscrew the motor cover (Fig.
F, 2), remove the filter (Fig. F, 4) and replace with a new one. Reassemble
in reverse order.
Storage, transport, shipping
The heater should be stored in a dry, dust-free, humidity-protected place
at (5-20)°C, away from living quarters, child-proof. The fuel tank should
be emptied of fuel and cleaned of dirt for the duration of storage. The room
should be free of dust and vapours that can corrode metal components.
Do not store the unit in rooms where food products are stored.
The heater is fitted with castors for easy movement within the heated
rooms.
Should it be necessary to send the heater to a shipping company,
e.g. to a service centre for repair, the fuel tank must be emptied! In
accordance with applicable regulations, the transport of liquid fuels
without observance of the specific safety conditions specified by
separate regulations is prohibited
