paint through the suction hose to the pump and pumping it out through
the drain tube. Leave the unit on until the test fluid has been pumped out
and there is paint pumped out through the drain tube. When finished,
switch off the unit and place the drain tube in the paint container.
The next step before painting is to clean the hose and gun.
Set the PRIME/SPRAY switch to the PRIME (C-3) position. The nozzle
outlet cover (see gun manual) should be removed. Then point the gun at
the empty container and squeeze the trigger (C-4).
Keep your hands away from the ejected paint.
Switch on the unit (A-9 ON position) and turn the PRIME/SPRAY switch
to the SPRAY position (C-5). Keep the gun trigger depressed until all air,
water or material in the hose is completely pumped out.
If the PRIME/SPRAY switch is in the SPRAY
position there is high pressure in the hose until the
PRIME/SPRAY switch is moved to the PRIME position.
Then release the trigger and switch PRIME/SPRAY to the PRIME
position and switch off the unit (A-9 position OFF). Replace the gun
nozzle outlet cover.
After the initial preparatory steps, make sure that the hose is not
damaged and proceed to paint.
To start painting, switch the machine on (ON) and turn the
PRIME/SPRAY switch to the SPRAY position (A-10/C-3), first placing the
suction tube (A-2) and the outlet tube (A-3) in the paint container. Set the
pressure setting knob (A-8) to the maximum position. The hose feeding
the paint to the gun should start to vibrate and stiffen under the pressure
of the pumped paint. The pump motor should run until the desired
pressure is reached in the hose. The motor operates in an automatic
on/off cycle mode depending on the pressure in the hose. To obtain a
satisfactory paint coverage, adjust the pressure dial (A-8).
10. Ongoing maintenance
All maintenance must be carried out with the unit
unplugged.
Damage caused by not cleaning or improperly cleaning the spray gun
and the unit is not covered by the warranty benefits.
Cleaning
To clean the unit, secure the spray gun, and unscrew the nozzle outlet
cover (E-1). Submerge the suction nozzle in a container previously filled
with a suitable cleaning liquid (for information on washing and cleaning
refer to the information label on the paint package) (E-2). Place the empty
container next to the cleaning fluid container. Unlock the gun and lean it
against the rim of the container with the material used for painting.
Pointing the gun outlet towards the centre of the container, depress the
trigger and then switch the unit on (ON) and move the PRIME/SPRAY
switch to the SPRAY position to clean the hose of any residual medium
(E-3).
When the gun has been cleared of residual medium and the cleaning
substance appears, move the gun over the empty container while still
holding down the gun trigger (E-4).
Keep the trigger depressed until the cleaning fluid coming out of the gun
has no visible dirt from the paint. When cleaning is complete, turn the
PRIME/SPRAY switch to the PRIME position and depress the gun trigger
to ensure that there is no pressure in the hose.
To clean the intake and drain lines, secure the gun and switch off the unit
(OFF), then unscrew both lines and clean them with a suitable cleaning
fluid, not forgetting to thoroughly clean the filter (teat) (A-4) at the end of
the intake line.
Once the hoses have been cleaned, screw them back into the unit
making sure that there are no leaks when connected (F). Place both
hoses in a container with fresh cleaning fluid, turn the PRIME/SPRAY
switch to the PRIME position and switch the genset on (ON). Allow the
unit to pump the cleaning fluid for 2-3 minutes and then switch the unit
off (OFF). If oil-based paint was used for painting after cleaning, pump
the system with clean water.
The next step is to clean the gun - see gun instructions.
If the unit will be stored for more than 3 days without operation, it is
recommended to protect its components by applying 5 drops of oil at the
lubrication point in the oil pocket (G).
Storage for less than 16 hours only applies when latex paints have been
used for painting. Otherwise, e.g. when oil-based paints were used, a
complete cleaning must be carried out.
Secure the gun, switch PRIME/SPRAY to the PRIME position, then
switch the unit OFF and disconnect from the power source. Slowly pour
half a cup of water into the paint container so that the water remains on
top of the paint (H-1). This will prevent the paint from drying out. Wrap
the gun in a wet cloth AND place it in a plastic net (H-2). Tie the net
tightly. Place the whole thing in a safe place out of the sun.
To start working again, remove the gun from the plastic net and mix the
water and paint thoroughly (H-3). Switch the PRIME/SPRAY levers to the
PRIME position, connect the unit to the power source and switch on
(ON). Then switch the PRIME/SPRAY levers to the SPRAY position and
perform test painting.
Clean the entire power tool regularly, paying particular attention to
cleaning the ventilation openings of the power tool.
Keep the device out of the reach of children.
Attachment, tool replacement
Once the tool has been clamped, make sure it has been clamped
correctly: lay the power tool horizontally and try to eject the clamped tip.
If it cannot be ejected, it means that it has been clamped correctly.
Maintenance of the appliance
Maintenance includes servicing of the equipment including accessories.
Never carry out maintenance work on equipment
that is connected to a power source.
This can cause serious injury or electric shock.
Maintenance of the unit consists of keeping all its components necessary
for normal operation properly clean. No solvents may be used for
cleaning as this may cause irreparable damage to the casing and other
plastic components.
Before each start-up:
- Check that the engine vents are not obstructed or dirty. If necessary,
expose/clean with a cloth slightly dampened with water.;
