6. Preparing for use
The device is part of the SAS+ALL line, so to use
it, a kit consisting of the device, battery and
charger must be completed. The use of other batteries and chargers
is prohibited.
All operations described in this chapter should be
carried out with the battery disconnected.
After removal from the box, the unit can be used immediately and
requires no further preparation.
7. Switching on the device
Przed uruchomieniem urządzenia bezwzględnie
wykonać czynności opisane w rozdziale
„Przygotowanie do pracy”.
Slide the battery pack from the SAS+ALL line into the slot (Fig. A, 7) and
push it in until it locks into place. To remove the battery, release the
locking latch and slide the battery out of the socket.
To switch on the appliance, press the on/off button (Fig. A, 2). Releasing
the switch button will switch the unit off.
8. Operation of the device
If the battery gets hotter than 40°C, stop operation
and wait for the battery to cool down.
When operating the device, all safety rules and
instructions described in the safety conditions
must be strictly observed..
Fill the hopper with the correct amount of spreading material.
When spreading seed or applying fertiliser, always pay attention to the
dosage specified by the manufacturer.
Three adjustment elements are used to adjust the application rate:
- a knob to regulate the amount of material to be applied (Fig. A, 3). With
the machine switched off, turn the knob. This will change the size of the
material feed opening, thereby increasing (or decreasing) the amount of
material fed.
- Material ejection radius change lever (Fig. A, 5). Changing the position
of the lever will change the material ejection radius, thereby increasing
(or decreasing) the material feed range.
- Speed change knob (Fig. A, 6). Changing the position on the knob will
make the material feed faster (or slower).
Once the material feeding parameters have been set, start the machine
with the switch (Fig. A, 2) and spread the material evenly over the surface
(e.g. lawns, flowerbeds, pavements, etc.).
9. Ongoing maintenance
All maintenance must be carried out with the unit
unplugged.
Clean the entire power tool regularly, paying particular attention to
cleaning the ventilation openings of the power tool.
Avoid charging the battery pack immediately after intensive use. Due to
the discharge phenomenon, do not store the battery pack completely
discharged, as it may then discharge below a critical level and become
permanently damaged.
Therefore, when not in use, the battery should be stored partially charged
(to approx. 40%). The battery should be charged before it is completely
discharged. Batteries should be stored at a temperature of 10-30°C.
Batteries stored at low temperatures lose capacity more quickly.
For how to charge the battery pack, refer to the instructions for the battery
pack and charger in the SAS+ALL series.
Keep the device out of the reach of children.
If it is necessary to send the device to a service centre for repair, protect
it from accidental mechanical damage and remove the batteries from the
charger socket.
How to dismantle the battery
To remove the battery pack, grasp the unit by the handle and then press
the release button on the front of the battery pack. Slide the battery pack
out of the socket. To fit the battery pack, slide the battery pack into the
battery slot and then press down until the handle latch engages.
Attachment, tool replacement
Once the tool has been clamped, make sure it has been clamped
correctly: lay the power tool horizontally and try to eject the clamped tip.
If it cannot be ejected, it means that it has been clamped correctly.
Maintenance of the appliance
Maintenance includes servicing of the equipment including accessories,
i.e. the battery and charger..
Never carry out maintenance work on equipment
that is connected to a power source.
This can cause serious injury or electric shock. The battery must be
removed from the battery socket before maintenance.
Maintenance of the unit consists of keeping all its components necessary
for normal operation properly clean. No solvents may be used for
cleaning as this may cause irreparable damage to the casing and other
plastic components.
The battery must not be cleaned with water as this may cause internal
short circuits leading to permanent damage.
Before each start-up:
- Check that the engine vents are not obstructed or dirty. If necessary,
expose/clean with a cloth slightly dampened with water.;
After each use:
- Disconnect the battery to avoid accidental activation by unauthorised
persons or during handling.
