Safety and important precautions
Risk of suffocation
Always observe all regulations concerning air exhaust. Air must not be discharged
into a duct used to discharge smoke from equipment using gas or another fuel (not
applicable to equipment that only returns the air back into the room).
Suitable ventilation must be ensured if the kitchen hood is used together with
equipment using gas or another fuel (not applicable to equipment that returns air
into the room – version with charcoal filters).
Fire risk
It is prohibited to flambé dishes or use gas rings without placing cookware under
the hood (the flames sucked up into the hood may damage the appliance).
Deep frying must be monitored at all times. Oil and grease may ignite when
heated to very high temperatures.
Observe the frequency of filter cleaning and replacement. Too much grease can
cause a fire.
Do not start the hood above a stove fired with fuel (wood, coal, etc.).
When the kitchen hood is placed above a gas appliance, the minimum distance
between the top of the gas appliance and the bottom of the hood is 65 cm. If the
instructions for the cooking hob installed under the hood provide for a distance
bigger than 65 cm, observe that distance.
