Chapter 4 Network Setup for Switcher
The DVIP port is designed for the user to access the switcher’s settings and functions on a
PC/laptop or an Ethernet controller from a remote location. You can either use a static IP
address to connect or connect with DHCP.
Section 4.1 discusses how you can establish direct connection between the SE-2600MU and
a Windows computer. In Section 4.2, we will show you how to access the SE-2600MU
remotely on your PC or laptop.
4.1 Static IP Configuration
When new from the factory the SE-2600MU will initially have a static IP address of
192.168.100.101. The unit can be directly connected to a Windows-based computer using an
RJ-45 Ethernet cable. The following setup should allow you to initially configure the unit’s
static IP settings.
System requirements and setup are provided as follows:
An SE-2600MU Unit
Windows 7/8/10 laptop or PC
An RJ-45 Ethernet cable
Instructions
1. First physically connect the SE-2600MU to a Windows computer using an RJ-45 Ethernet
cable.
2. Turn on the Windows computer and set it to static IP setup within the Windows
Network and Sharing Centre. In our example, the computer is given the following IP
settings so that the computer matches the same IP range as the switcher.
