To install an oil trap
If the outdoor unit is installed higher than the refrigeration indoor
unit, install an oil trap in the gas piping every 5meter. Oil traps will
make the oil return more easily.

The refrigerant suction piping must always run down:

To install riser piping
If the outdoor unit is installed lower than the refrigeration indoor unit,
install riser piping close to the indoor unit. When the compressor of
the outdoor unit starts, correctly installed riser piping will prevent
liquid from flowing back to the outdoor unit.
