5. INTRODUCTION
5.1. About the small inverter chiller
The unit is designed for outdoor installation (cooling: –15°C to 43°C,
heating: –15°C to 35°C) and can be combined with Daikin fan coil
units for air conditioning purposes. They can also be used for
supplying water for process cooling applications.
The units are available in 7 standard sizes with nominal capacities
ranging from 16.8 to 63 kW. All sizes are available as cooling only
unit (EWAQ) and as heat pump unit (EWYQ: cooling/heating).

The main components are
the compressor,
the air heat exchanger,
the water heat exchanger.
The compressor circulates refrigerant into the heat exchangers.
- In cooling mode, the refrigerant transports the heat taken
from the water heat exchanger to the air heat exchanger
where the heat is released to the air.
- In heating mode, the refrigerant transports the heat taken
from the air heat exchanger to the water heat exchanger
where the heat is released to the water.

commissioning and maintaining the unit, and it will provide help if
