IP address: Displays each device’s current IP address.
3) Scan Devices: All devices on the local network that support the
discovery functionality, which are not already being controlled by
the Universal Device Controller, will be listed here. To make finding
specific devices easier, a filter can be applied to the list by selecting
the preferred filtering type from the dropdown (Product ID, Product
Name, or MAC Address) and then typing an appropriate keyword into
the provided space.
To add one or more devices to the unit for control simply select them
from the list and then click on the “+ Add” button. All selected devices
will be transferred to the “Device Information” section on the left
and the unit will begin the process of preparing the new devices for
control.
Note: Hovering the mouse over a discovered device will show additional
details about that device.
6.4.3 Device Page
The Device page provides a listing of all devices that have been added to
the Universal Device Controller for management and control along with
their current status, IP address, and clickable links leading to each device’s
control page. To make finding a specific device easier, the list can be
filtered based on name or device state. Devices are added to this list via
the Dashboard page. Please see section 6.4.2 for more details.
Clicking on a device’s name opens up that device’s control page which is
comprised of a collection of category icons that encompass all functions
supporting remote control on that device. To return to the device
selection screen, click on the “Device” text in the header.
