Note: The Home page’s availability prior to logging in, as well as the features
and functions presented within it, are defined by the User Management
settings which are covered in detail within section 6.4.5.2. The “Select Room
option is only available when a user with room edit access has logged in.
1) Select Room: To select a room to control, click the “Select Room” link
in the upper-right corner of the page. This will display a list of the
currently defined rooms. After selecting a room, the Home page will
display the scenarios configured within with a text label at the top
that identifies the current room and selected scenario, if any.
Note: For additional information about room configurations, please see
section 6.4.4.1.
2) Select Scenario: Click on the icon of the preferred scenario to select
it and activate all associated scripts and automation. After selection,
the scenario will become highlighted. Scripts are a sequence of
functions or commands that can be assigned to a scenario, and they
are executed immediately upon selection of the scenario. Automation
is a collection of automated tasks and behaviors can be assigned to
a scenario which will continue to operate as long as the scenario is
selected.
Note: Changing between rooms will not disable or pause the automation
tasks defined by any currently selected scenarios. If the same scenario
exists within multiple rooms and is activated, it will become active in all
rooms at the same time.
3) Activate Command: Click on any of the available command icons to
activate the function or command configured within it. After selection,
the button will remain highlighted for a short time. The command is
executed immediately upon selection.
4) Activate Automation: Click on any of the available automation icons
to enable or disable the associated automation functions. When an
automation function is active, the button will be highlighted. More
than one automation function can be active at the same time, and the
current rooms native automation functions will also continue to be
active regardless of the state of these optional automation functions.
