4. OPERATION

The hood has a display with 4 buttons. Figure 9

Button operation

1. If you press the button, a beep will sound and the hood will operate at low speed. If you

press it again, it will stop.

2. If you press the button, a beep will sound and the hood will operate at medium speed. If

you press it again, it will stop.

3. If you press the button, a beep will sound and the hood will operate at low speed.

Pressing it again will activate the Booster function for 5 minutes. After this time, the hood

will return to high speed operation. When you want to turn it o, press the button again.

4. Pressing the button will turn on both lights. If you press it again, lights will switch o.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

NOTE: To clean the suspended kitchen hood, always switch o the power supply before

cleaning or performing any maintenance task on the hood.

- To prevent the outer surface of the kitchen hood from deteriorating over time, it is

recommended that it be cleaned with hot water and a non-corrosive detergent every two

months.

- Do not use abrasive detergents. Otherwise, the surface of the kitchen hood may be

damaged.

- Keep the motor and other parts away from water, as water may damage the appliance.

Cleaning aluminium lters

- Do not use corrosive detergents to clean grease from the aluminium lters.

- Regular cleaning of the aluminium lters will prolong the life of the appliance and keep it

in good working order.

Follow the instructions below:

Cleaning method 1:

- Immerse the aluminium lters in hot water (40-50 °C), add neutral detergent and let

them soak for 2 to 3 minutes.

- Protect yourself with gloves and clean the lters with a soft brush or scouring pad.

- Do not apply too much force, as lters are very delicate and can be easily damaged.

Cleaning method 2:

- If you wish, you can also wash the lters in the dishwasher at a temperature of

approx. 60 °C.

Figure 10 shows the procedure to remove the lter for cleaning.

Carbon lter (included)

This type of lter has activated carbon and puries air and absorbs cooking odours. The

activated carbon becomes saturated after a period of time, which will reduce the adsorption

capacity of the lter. The carbon lter cannot be washed nor cleaned in any way.

When the kitchen hood is used regularly, the activated carbon lter should be replaced every

2-3 months. If frying more frequently, shorten this interval.

1. Remove the aluminium lters.

2. The carbon lters are located on both sides of the motor. Turn the lters, until they

are rmly in place. Figure 11

3. To replace the carbon lters, proceed in reverse order.
