6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

- The freezer must be cleaned regularly. For your safety, turn it to the o position and unplug

it before cleaning.

- Clean the inside of the freezer with clean water or neutral soap. Then, wipe it with a dry

cloth. Make sure that the inside is dry before using the freezer again.

- Clean the door seal with a soft, damp cloth. Pay particular attention to corners and folds.

It is easy to damage the door seals if they are stained with oil, sauce, etc., so it is advisable

to clean them carefully. Dry the seal with a clean, dry cloth. Once the seal is clean and dry,

make sure it is in good condition and seals properly when closing the freezer door.

- Clean the outside, you can wipe o the dust with a dry cloth and, if necessary, use a little

neutral soap.

Note

- Do not splash water on the freezer. This could cause it to rust and stop working properly.

Electronic components must be dry cleaned.

- To clean the freezer, do not use products that could damage the exterior, such as: abrasive

products, chemicals, thinners, alcohol, etc.

- Dirt can damage the inside of the freezer, so clean it as soon as possible.

- Check the following points after maintenance:

1. Has the electronic cable been damaged or lost?

2. Can the plug be placed in the socket reliably and without problems?

3. Does the plug get too hot?

Warning: please dispose of the door seal before discarding the freezer. Discarded appliances

should be handled by professional personnel, as they may be harmful to the environment.

Defrost

If a lot of frost has formed, the eciency of the freezer will decrease, and energy consumption

will increase. Therefore, if the frost reaches a thickness of 5 mm, a defrosting process is

necessary. Carry out the following steps:

1. Remove all food from the freezer.

2. Remove the drawers.

3. Unplug the power cable.

4. Open the door.

5. Wait for the freezer to defrost.

6. Clean the water with a dry cloth.

WARNING: do not use any method to accelerate the defrosting process. This could damage the

cooling system.

Power cut

If there is a power cut, do not put any more food in the freezer and reduce the frequency of

opening the door.

Note: after a power cut, even in summer, the freezer can store food normally for several hours.

Packaging and transport

- If you are not going to use the freezer for a long time, empty it, unplug it, and clean it. The

door should be kept open to avoid odour caused by food residues.
