Probe reading correction
The values read by the probes can be corrected by adding/subtracting an
off set to/from the measurement, with parameters /c1 to /c5.
Par. Description Def Min Max UOM
/c1 B1 off set 0 -20.0 20.0 °C/°F
/c2 B2 off set 0 -20.0 20.0 °C/°F

The off set may need to comply with HACCP requirements. In this case,
the off set should be calculated using a calibrated instrument. In some
cases these parameters, which aff ect the values measured and shown on
the display, may not be able to be modifi ed. If in doubt, contact the food
safety manager or site manager.

HACCP - CAUTION
Modifying these parameters that aff ecting the values measured and
display may not be allowed in certain applications or may require specifi c
authorisation, as they may aff ect the operations requirements by the
HACCP system. If in doubt, contact the food safety manager or site
manager.
Digital inputs
Notice: digital input 1 (DI1) is used by default for the door switch,
however this can also be confi gured as DI2 or DI3
If the door switch is not used (for example, connected to DI1), it can be
disabled by setting A3=1 and A11=5 (default value) or another function
can be assigned to DI1, see Table 4b.
Par. Description Def Min Max UOM
A3 Disable door switch
0= enabled
1= disabled
101-
If A3=0 and the door switch is not connected, the controller will display
the “door open” icon. To avoid incorrect signals, select A3=1 or short-
circuit pin 21 (DI1) to one of the GND pins.
Multiple contacts can be connected to the multifunction digital inputs
to activate various types of functions, such as alarm, enable/start defrost,
low pressure switch, etc.
Caution: to guarantee unit safety of the unit in the event of
serious alarms, all of the electromechanical safety devices needed
to guarantee correct operation must be fi tted on the unit.

Tab. 7.o
The following parameters are involved in the explanation of the settings
for A5 and A9.
1 = Immediate external alarm
Application: external alarm that requires immediate activation (for
example, high pressure or compressor thermal overload alarm). Activation
of the alarm causes:
1. • signal on the display (‘IA’);
• activation of the buzzer, if enabled;
• activation of the alarm relay, if selected;
2. the following actions on the actuators:
• fans: continue to operate according to the fan parameters (“F”).
Notice: if more than one digital input is confi gured as an
immediate alarm, the alarm is generated when one of the inputs
is open.
2 = Do not select
3 = Enable defrost
Application: any defrost request made with the contact open will remain
pending until the contact closes.

Contact Defrost
Open Not enabled
Closed Enabled (start defrost continues to be determined by the
controller)
Closed with
defrost active
If the digital input opens, the defrost is stopped immedi-
ately and the unit resumes normal operation (skipping the
dripping or post-dripping phases). The LED starts fl ashing
indicating that the defrost request is pending until next
enabled (when the contact closes), when it will be performed
completely.
Tab. 7.p
Notice: this function is useful to avoid defrosting units exposed to
the public when the store is open.
4 = Start defrost from external contact
Application: this function is useful if needing to perform synchronised
defrosts on several units or manually controlled by an external contact. To
do this, simply connect a cyclical timer, either mechanical or electronic,
to the selected digital input. Several units can be connected to the
same timer, setting diff erent values for parameter d5 (defrost delay from
multifunction input) to avoid simultaneous defrosts.
