1. Moving the Printer

When placed in a new loca-
tion, open the sub cover, re-
move the cap and put it back
into the hollow under the rows
of holes.

Connect the power cord.

Connect the printer to the
computer.
Be sure to choose the correct cable de-
signed for the interface which you are
using.
The figure shows how a parallel inter-
face is used to connect between the
printer and the computer.
USB and 10BASE-T interfaces are also available for connecting between the printer
and a computer.
When you have connected them with the USB interface in a new environment, install
the printer driver by using the plug-and-play feature of Windows 98, before operating
the printer for the first time. Refer to page 79 (Installing software: Using USB Interface)
before connecting with the USB interface.
