Solution
Turn the main power switch on ( | position).
Plug in the power cord firmly.
Try plugging other electrical equipment into the outlet. If they work
properly, breakdown of the printer unit is likely. Consult your printer
dealer.

The Printer Does Not Operate or Prints Nothing
If the printer does not operate at all, or if (when operating) it prints
meaningless letters and graphics, try the remedies which are sug-
gested in this section.
❏ Power is not reaching the printer.
❏ The printer will not start printing.
Check point
Is the main power switch off
( position) ?
Is the power cord disconnected?
Is the electrical outlet working?
Solution
Close the front cover properly.
It cannot be closed unless the PHS unit lock handle is in the Lock
position.
Connect the printer and the computer correctly with an interface
cable.
Load the paper properly.
Install the ink cartridges properly.
Select the printer name CANON P-660C PRINTER, when you start
printing from an application software.
Try printing a test print from the Utility tab of the printer driver.
If it prints properly, verify the settings of the application, check on the
operational steps, and confirm the validity of the document data.
If it fails to print properly, breakdown of the printer unit is likely.
Consult your printer dealer.
Check the Details tab in the printer driver window, and make sure the
right port is selected in "Print to the following port" box.
If the printer is configured to the ECP mode printer port, it may lead
to malfunction.
Disable the ECP mode setting. You can disable the ECP by checking
on the BIOS configurations of your system hardware.
