2. Main Tab Settings
• Matching Method:
The pulldown menu allows you to specify your preference in color correction.
Photograph: Select this item to reproduce the delicate shades of intermediate colors such as flesh
color, sky blue, green and so on, which are characteristic of photographs in general.
Graphics: Select this item to reproduce the vividness of the primary colors such as red, blue and
yellow.
None: This option performs no color correction and output the print data as it is.
• Profile: The pulldown menu allows you to apply a color correction method that can most effec-
tively improve printing quality of the data obtained by a device. Select the device type
which was used for creating the original data.
CG: This option reproduces the color information in the print data accurately on the print-
outs. Select this option when printing data in which colors are indicated by YMCK
percentages or by reference to a color chart. It also reproduces the vividness of the pri-
mary colors such as red, blue and yellow.
Scanner: This option reproduces the colors in scanned images in close resemblance to those in
the originals.
Video: Select this option to reproduce the colors in video camera pictures so as to closely re-
semble the actual colors of the objects, and to reproduce the colors in close to what you
see on the monitor screen.
Digital Camera:
Select this option to reproduce the colors in digital camera pictures so as to closely re-
semble the actual colors of the objects.
• Gamma: Specify the gamma of the monitor which is being used in color adjustment.
Valid values are 1.0, 1.4, 1.8, or 2.2.
• Intensity: This option adjusts the image intensity from –50 to +50 via slide controls.
• Defaults: This button cancels the modifications you have made to the parameters and restores the
former Autopalette settings.
