4. Loading and Replacing Paper
● If the paper is not loaded properly when you try to start printing, the “FAILED
FEEDING” or “SET PAPER GUIDE” message will appear on the display panel, and
the job will be suspended.
In this case, press the feeder tray lift switch to bring down the tray, straighten the
paper stack, and align the side regulating plates (at the inner and front) properly,
and then press the tray lift switch again. The printer restarts printing and the error
state will be removed.
● When the printer has run out of paper, the "SET PAPER" message will appear on the
display panel. To continue, press the feeder tray lift switch to bring down the tray, load
a new stack of paper, and then press the tray lift switch again. The printer restarts
printing and the error state will be called off.
● Use only the media supplied by the manufacturer specially for COLOR CARD PRINT-
ING MACHINE. Using other types of media may result in blurred or thin-spotted out-
puts. It may also cause the printer to malfunction and breakdown.
● When stocking papers, put them in the plastic bags supplied with them, and store
them away out of direct sunlight to prevent discoloring or other deterioration in qual-
ity. Once unsealed, you should use up the paper as quickly as possible.
● Each type of manufacturer-supplied media for COLOR CARD PRINTING MACHINE
has its own area for printing. Do not try to print outside that area (➔ page 45, Saving
a New Paper Size).
● Make sure that the paper actually loaded in the printer matches the paper (size) speci-
fied by the printer driver.
