If copying between lenses fails, check the following.

Conrm that the dedicated cable
(20 pin–20 pin) is connected.
Settings cannot be copied
between lenses unless the
cable is connected.
Securely connect the cable
between the source and target
lenses, and follow the steps to
copy again, from the start.
Conrm that the target lens is
on.
Settings cannot be copied
unless both the source and
target lenses are on.
Turn on both the source and
target lenses, and follow the
steps to copy again, from the
start.
Conrm that the drive unit of the
target lens is the same model.
Settings cannot be copied
between lenses of dierent
generations of drive units.
Contact Canon or your dealer
for details on models of drive
unit that can be used to copy
settings.

Conrm that the dedicated cable
(20 pin–20 pin) is connected.
The message at left is displayed
if the lenses are disconnected
during copying, if a power
outage occurs, or if a lens is
turned o. In this case, copying
is interrupted, which prevents
the settings from being copied
correctly.
Conrm that the source and
target lenses are on, and that
the cable is securely connected.
Press the Display switch to
return to Screen A, and follow
the steps to copy again, from
the start.
