Managing Roles
Register/edit the usage restrictions to associate to users as roles. Roles can also be imported/exported in
batches.
There are two types of roles; base roles and custom roles. For more information, see "Regarding Base Roles
and Custom Roles."(P. 20)

IMPORTANT
ā Only users associated with the [Administrator] role can manage roles. (Users associated with a custom
role based on the [Administrator] role (such as the [DeviceAdmin] or [NetworkAdmin] role) cannot
manage roles.)
ā Depending on the user authentication method you are using, required operations will differ. For more
information, see "Flow of Settings for Operating with Local Device Authentication"(P. 40) or "Flow
of Settings for Operating with Server Authentication."(P. 42)
