Congure the settings r
elated to the communication that occurs when the driver or application software obtains
device information from the machine.
* CHMP is a Canon proprietary protocol.
Congure these settings using Remote UI from a computer. You cannot use the control panel to congure the
settings.
Administrator privileges are required.
Required Preparations

Log in to Remote UI in System Manager Mode. Starting Remote UI(P. 395)

On the Portal page of Remote UI, click [Settings/Registration]. Portal Page of

Click [Network Settings]
[CHMP Settings] [Edit].
➠ The [Edit CHMP Settings] screen is displayed.

Select the [Enable HT
TPS Redirection] checkbox.
* Communication that uses CHMP will be redirected to encrypted communication.

Click [OK].
➠ The settings are applied.

Import the
certicate to the computer, as needed.
Perform this operation only if a self-signed certicate is generated when TLS is enabled.
You can skip this step if a self-signed certicate is not generated.

Export the certicate r
egister
ed to the machine.
Log in to Remote UI, and use the browser to export the certicate registered to the machine.

Import the certicate to the computer.
Import the exported certicate to your computer.
