Management/SNMP
cnReach radios support SNMP V1/V2 and V3. V1/V2 requires the use of the Read Only Community
String unless the SNMP Manager is required to make changes to the radio, in which case the Read
Write Community String is also required. Trap Host IP’s are necessary if the radio is to send traps
when alarm conditions are met.
V3 requires the use of a Username, Authentication Password and Privacy Password. Trap Host IP’s
are necessary if the radio is to send traps when alarm conditions are met.
An independent SNMP Manager is required to use this feature, such as OpenNMS, Solarwinds etc.
