Managing LLDP
Feature Overview
The LLDP feature enables you to discover network devices that support the LLDP protocol. LLDP (Link
Layer Discovery Protocol) is a link-layer protocol used by devices to advertise their identity and
capabilities to their neighbors on a LAN.
Standards

The protocol is standardized as IEEE 802.1ab and IEEE 802.3-2012 section 6 clause 79.
Scaling Numbers
l
A maximum number of 256 neighbors can be learned.
Limitations
l
LLDP-MED is not supported in this release.
