Troubleshooting SSH

Useful command for troubleshooting:

cnMatrix# show ssh-client

cnMatrix#show users – see active connections

Max SSH Sessions

The total number of CLI remote sessions (Telnet + SSH) is 8. For security reasons, the number of SSH

sessions should be limited and configurable.

Note:

The maximum number of SSH sessions is 8.

Even if the maximum number of SSH sessions is 8, the number of telnet sessions will not be affected: the

sessions will be still allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

For example, even if SSH max sessions is set to 3, I still can have 5 telnet sessions.

The number of SSH sessions can be limited with the command:

cnMatrix(config)# ssh max-sessions (1-8)

It can be configured to default by using the following command:

cnMatrix(config)# default ssh max-sessions
