Managing PoE (Power over Ethernet)

Feature Overview

The PoE feature enables data connection and electric power to be transmitted to devices such as

wireless access points, IP cameras, and VoIP phones. PoE technology is a system that transmits electrical

power, along with data, to remote devices over standard twisted-pair cable in an Ethernet network.

Attention

EX1028-P is supported starting with cnMatrix release 3.1. EX1028-P has a PoE

budget of 200W.

EX1010-P is supported starting with cnMatrix release 3.2. EX1010-P has a PoE

budget of 75W.

TX2020R-P and TX2012R-P are supported starting with cnMatrix release 4.0.

TX2028RF-P is supported starting with cnMatrix release 4.1.
