Editing: INST
Basic operations for editing the INST
On the INST edit screen, you can select the modeling sounds and
congure alternate tunings.
Changing the INST
Here’s how to select the INST on which the sound you create is based.
* For details on the INST types, refer to the “VG-800 Parameter
Guide” (BOSS website).
1. Press the [INST] button.
The INST edit screen appears.
2. Turn the [SELECT] knob to move the cursor to the
rst parameter.
3. Turn the [1] knob to select the INST.
* You can turn the INST on/o by pressing the [SELECT] knob.
Editing the INST
Here’s how to make detailed edits to an INST.
This explanation uses the edit screens for the E.GUITAR INST type as
an example.
* For details on the parameter, refer to the “VG-800 Parameter
Guide” (BOSS website).
1. Press the [INST] button.
The INST edit screen appears.
2. Turn the [SELECT] knob to move the cursor to the
parameter you want to set.
Select “ALT TUNE” here.
3. Turn the [1]–[5] knobs to adjust the parameters that
are shown at the bottom of the screen.
Use the [

] buttons to switch between the parameters that
you want to edit. The current page is indicated in the lower center
of the screen.
* To change a value in larger steps, turn a knob while pressing it.
* The number of parameters and pages diers with each setting.
