Notes on the »ECO« program
The »ECO« program is suitable for cleaning normally soiled dishes, which is the most efficient program in
terms of combined energy and water consumption. The program is used to check compliance with
EU-eco-design regulations.
This program requires the appliance door to be opened manually and 3 ml of rinse aid to be added within a
specific time between 65 and 70 minutes after the program starts.
- The function indicator flashes quickly (at a frequency of 5 Hz) for 5 minutes.
- At the same time, a signal tone sounds every 2 seconds, followed by a tone with four short signals.
Procedure:
• Open and close the appliance door before the fourth signal tone so that the buzzer stops beeping and the
function indicator stops flashing (it returns to its normal state).
• If the fourth beep has already sounded, you can still open and close the appliance door within 5 minutes so
that the function display stops flashing again.
General energy-saving tips
• Cleaning dishes in a household dishwasher generally uses less energy and water than washing by hand,
provided the dishwasher is used in accordance with the instructions.
•
Loading the household dishwasher up to the specified capacity (fully loaded) helps to save energy and water.
• Use the most suitable rinse program for the load in question.
• Do not carry out a pre-rinse (depending on the model) unless necessary.
• Manual pre-rinsing of the dishes leads to higher water and energy consumption! Do not pre-rinse the dis-
hes under running water.
Starting a program
• Open the water supply to maximum pressure OR
fill the water tank.
• Load the dishwasher.
• Fill with detergent.
• Switch on the appliance.
• Set the required program conditions.
• Start the rinse program.
Interior lighting
The interior lighting switches on automatically:
- by opening the appliances door in power-on or
standby mode,
- by pressing a button during the rinse cycle.
After about 5 minutes with the door open or after the
last button press, the lighting switches off.
Changing the program
CAUTION:
A program change should only be made a short time
after the program has started. Otherwise, detergent
may already have been released and rinsing water
may already have been drained.
• First press the start/pause button to pause the
current rinse program.
• Keep pressing the program selection button for
more than 3 seconds; the program is deleted.
