corner and then pressing it around the door into
the groove provided for this purpose.
• Continue to check the seal regularly for dirt and
damage!
Defrosting
Thanks to the fully automatic NoFrost system, the
appliance remains ice-free. This system continuously
reduces the humidity in the freezer so that no layers
of ice can form. Manual defrosting is therefore not
necessary.
However, note that despite NoFrost, the appliance
must be cleaned regularly to prevent odors and soil-
ing.
Replacing the door hinge
If the appliance door stutters, cracks or jams when
opening, this usually indicates a worn or damaged
door hinge.
It is advisable to replace all door hinges at the same
time, otherwise the next repair will soon be beckoning.
• Remove the contents of the appliance and the
movable interior parts.
• Tilt the appliance backwards and block it in this
position to prevent the door from sliding out.
• The disassembly of the upper and lower door
hinges is done as described under
"Changing
the door opening"
.
• The respective hinge assembly is carried out in
reverse order.
• Open and close the appliance door for a test run,
readjust the hinges if necessary. In any case,
make sure that the door fits tightly and accurately.
Replacing the door handle
Excessive or improper use can damage the door
handle, making it necessary to replace it.
• Carefully remove the handle covers to expose the
screws.
• Loosen the screws and remove the old handle.
• Install the new door handle in reverse order, se-
cure it and replace the handle covers.
• Make sure that the handle is secure and working
properly before using the door again.
