Safety distances
CAUTION:
Always ensure that there is sufficient air circulation
and that the ventilation openings remain unob-
structed. Prevent insulation of material, drawer back
panels or other components from restricting the air
flow to avoid damage to the electronics.
There must be sufficient clearance behind the ap-
pliance to allow warm air to escape freely. The
rear panel of the cabinet should be fitted with ven-
tilation slots, if necessary.
The distance between the hob and any overhead
range hood must meet or exceed the minimum
specified in the range hood’s installation manual.

Installation of the hob
The hob measures 580 mm × 510 mm with a total
height of 50 mm (incl. 5 mm glass-ceramic surface).
The
installation height is 45 mm. It is mounted di-
rectly into the worktop and is powered and controlled
via the oven installed below it.
Requirements for the worktop
The worktop must comply with the dimensions
shown in the drawing and be level and stable.
A
minimum thickness of 30 mm is required and
ideally be slightly thicker to ensure a stable and
secure base for the hob.
The hob must have at least 50 mm clearance on
all sides of the cut-out, so it is surrounded by the
worktop. Avoid mounting directly next to tall cabi-
nets or walls and make sure there is sufficient
clearance so that e.g. pan handles can be moved
freely.
A moisture barrier is required along the wall-fac-
ing edge, and all cut surfaces must be sealed with
special lacquer, silicone rubber, or resin to pre-
vent moisture damage.
Ensure the area around the cut-out is clean and
completely dry before installing the hob.
Preparing the worktop
Prepare the opening in the worktop according to the
millimeter specifications provided in the drawing.
CAUTION:
Before sawing the cut-out, cover the outer edge gen-
erously with wide masking tape. This helps to pre-
vent scratches or marks caused by the jigsaw.
Transfer the measurement to the center of the
worktop.
Drill holes (approx. 10 mm diameter) in all four
corners to allow you to insert the jigsaw blade.
Carefully cut out the opening. The previously ap-
plied adhesive tape will help to protect the surface
during sawing.
Smooth the cut edges and apply a sealing agent
especially important for coated chipboard or wood
surfaces.
