Problem Cause Solution
e radiator fan
does not switch
on after instal-
lation.
e appliance is not
powered.
e temperature of
the radiator remains
below the activation
temperature.
e deactivation
temperature of the
fan is set too high.
e temperature
sensor makes poor
contact with the ra-
diator, or is placed in
an incorrect location.
Make sure the plug is in the
socket and check that the ca-
ble or plug is not damaged.
Make sure that the RCD is
switched on.
Check that there is no power
failure.
Change the radiator fan
activation temperature, see
section 4.1.1.
Change the radiator fan de-
activation temperature, see
section 4.1.2.
Make sure that the tempera-
ture sensor is attached to the
hot water supply pipe or close
to this pipe on the radiator
where it gets hot quickly.
∙ Make sure that the tem-
perature sensor makes good
contact.
∙ If the heating is not properly
vented, radiator locations
cannot heat up. Vent the
heating and/or make sure that
the sensor makes contact at
a location where the radiator
heats up quickly and fully.
Problem Cause Solution
e radiator fan
stops automat-
ically.
is is normal,
as soon as the
temperature of the
radiator is lower
than the set fan
deactivation tem-
perature, the fan will
switch off.
If you only want the fan to
switch off at a lower tempera-
ture, change the deactivation
temperature, see section 4.1.2.
e radiator fan
does not switch
off automatically
when the radi-
ator has cooled
down.
e thermostat does
not switch off the
appliance.
e temperature sensor or
the sensor cable is defective,
or does not make contact
with the fan. Insert the sensor
cable connector back into the
fan port, and/or insert it into
another port.
e thermostat or thermostat
cable is defective, or does not
make contact with the fan or
the adapter. Insert the thermo-
stat cable connector back into
the fan port, and/or insert it
into another port.
