Connectivity

Instrument and Microphone

1. Connect your guitar, bass, or other instruments to Input 1 using a standard

1/4” instrument cable. Make sure you select INST on the LINE/INST

switch. Enable the Enhance switch to optimize the signal with valve amp

inspired circuitry.

2. Connect your microphone to Input 2 using an XLR cable. If you’re using a

microphone that requires phantom power (most condenser microphones)

make sure to enable the +48V phantom power switch.

3. Plug your headphones into the headphone output. If your headphone only

has a 3.5mm jack, you’ll need to use a 3.5mm to stereo 6.35mm (1/4”)

adapter. Use the headphone volume control to adjust the listening level.

4. Connect your studio monitors to the balanced outputs. Plug you left

monitor to 1/L and your right monitor to 2/R. We recommend using

TRS cables.

5. Connect the Polar 2 to your computer using a USB-C cable. This

connection handles both power and data transfer.

Polar 2 supports connections for a wide range of audio equipment. This diagram illustrates a typical setup and how to make each connection.
