7.10 Checking the network strength
To check the network strength, briefly press the ON/OFF/emergency button

twice. The
LEDs

first show a purple running light and then shortly thereafter the current network
strength, also in purple.
As the network strength decreases, the sound quality reduces, as does the like-
lihood that an emergency notification can be transferred. If the check cannot be
run (check aborts), no connection to the network can be established.

7.11 Updates/changes to settings
The emergency wristband is constantly being developed further. Free and automatic updates
for the emergency wristband and the “My Gardia” app are provided on a regular basis. Updates
can include new features, improved usability, improved security protocols, troubleshooting and
other improvements.
To ensure that the emergency wristband is always up to date, it automatically searches for new
updates when placed in the charger

and installs them independently if necessary. Once an
update has been successfully installed on the emergency wristband, the LEDs

light up blue.
Make sure to update the “My Gardia” app as soon as a new version is available in the Apple
App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android
TM
).
The volume of the emergency wristband can be adjusted in the “My Gardia” app under the
device settings. You can find more information on this in the “My Gardia” app.
