Step 2: Controls
18. USB – Use this USB C connection to connect to the
Guitar Tribe application for control of parameters and
rmware update.
19. DC INPUT – Connect a standard 9 V / 400 mA power supply to
this jack. Power supply not included.

parameters and management of rmware updates. To download

Step 3: Getting started
BM-15M MURF BOX Getting started
1. Make all audio connections, set all knobs to the
far-left position. DO NOT turn on the power yet!
2. Plug your instrument or other audio source into the
AUDIO IN jack.
3. Turn on the BM-15M by plugging the power supply into
the DC IN jack. The LED above the BYPASS footswitch
should light to show the pedal is powered on.
4. Make sure the eect is bypassed. If the LED above the
BYPASS footswitch is green, press the BYPASS footswitch
so that the LED lights red.
5. Turn on all eects and ampliers farther down the
signal chain.
6. Set the controls to these initial settings:
FILTERS sliders = up full; DRIVE = 0; OUTPUT = 0;
ENVELOPE = 5; LFO (ON/OFF) = OFF; MIX = 10;
FREQ (BASS/MIDS) = MIDS; RATE = 5; PATTERN = 1.
7. Press the BYPASS footswitch to activate the eect.
The BYPASS LED should light green.
8. Set the input gain by playing your instrument and rotating
the DRIVE knob clockwise until the DRIVE LED mostly lights
yellow, with occasional ashes of red on signal peaks.
9. Set the OUTPUT knob so there is no change in loudness
when you toggle the BYPASS footswitch between active
and bypassed.
10. Adjust the ENVELOPE knob up and down and listen to how
the changing envelope aects your sound
11. Adjust the RATE knob and listen to how the speed of the
sequence and envelope changes in response until you nd
a setting that you like.
12. Switch the PATTERN knob between settings to try out the
dierent patterns.
13. Switch the FREQ setting between MIDS and BASS settings
to hear the dierences between the two modes and
how they interact with your particular instrument, vocal
or synth, as well as to test out the dierent banks of
sequences available to the PATTERN knob in each setting.
14. Move the LFO switch to the ON position and listen to how
the LFO shifts the lter frequencies.
15. Adjust the MIX knob down and up from the full
10 setting to hear how the eected signal blends with
the dry signal. At the lowest counter-clockwise setting,
the eect should be barely perceptible.
16. Try adjusting the FILTERS sliders up and down to form
dierent curves. You should also try extreme settings
with some sliders all the way up and others all the way
down. Make sure to listen for “sweet spots” that suit your
particular instrument, vocal or synth sound.
