connected to the power supply and/or battery, lifted or
carried. Carrying power tools with your finger on the
switch or connecting power tools to the power supply
with the main switch on increases the risk of accidents.
d. Remove any adjusting or tool wrench before the power
tool is switched on. A forgotten adjusting or wrench on
a rotating part of the power tool can cause serious
injury.
e. Do not work beyond your reach and always maintain a
firm footing and good balance. This enables better
control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
f. Wear the correct clothing and avoid loose clothing or
jewelry. Keep hair and clothing away from moving
parts, as loose clothing, jewelry or long hair could get
caught in moving parts.
g. Ensure that existing devices for dust extraction or dust
collection are correctly connected and used. The use of
dust collection devices can reduce the risk of dust-
related hazards.
h. Don't let the routine of using tools tempt you to become
careless and ignore the principles of tool safety. A
careless moment can lead to serious injury within
seconds.
13. Personal safety
a. Stay alert and stay in control of your actions when
using a power tool. Do not use the power tool when
you are tired or under the influence of medication,
alcohol or drugs. A moment of inattention while
operating a power tool can cause serious injury.
b. Wear personal protective equipment, especially eye
protection. The use of protective equipment such as a
dust mask, non-slip safety shoes, a hard hat or hearing
protection, if necessary, reduces the risk of injury.
