PROGRAMME
Always follow the instructions on laundry care labels in
order to select the right programme for your laundry.
The value stated in the tub symbol is the maximum
temperature for washing the clothes.
Boil-wash/Colours
Normally to heavily soiled and durable cotton.
Jeans
Before washing and using liquid laundry detergent, turn the garment
inside out.
Synthetics
For washing soiled garments made from artificial fibres (such as
polyester, polyacrylic, viscose, etc.) or cotton/synthetic fabric mixtures.
Delicates
For washing particularly sensitive garments. The garment should
preferably be turned inside out before washing.
Mixed
For washing slightly to normally soiled, resistant garments made from
cotton, linen, artificial and mixed fibres.
Short 15'
Refresh programme. Briefly worn clothing in cotton, synthetics
and cotton mixtures. Use the lowest quantity of detergent that is
recommended.
Wool/hand wash
All woollen garments can be washed with the "Wool" programme,
including those with the "Handwash only" label. For optimal results, use
special laundry detergent and do not exceed the maximum loading
capacity.
Eco 40-60
For cotton laundry with normal levels of soiling, that can be washed at
40°C or 60°C together in the same laundry cycle. This is the standard
programme for cotton and the most efficient in terms of water and
energy consumption.
! As stated, this laundry cycle only runs at 40°C.
20°C
For slightly soiled cotton laundry at a temperature of 20°C.
Rinse & spin
Separate rinsing and intensive spinning programme. For durable
laundry.
Spin
Spins the load and then drains the water. For durable laundry.
Drain
Allow to drain only - do not spin.
INITIAL COMMISSIONING
To get rid of soiling caused by production, select the "Boil-wash/
Colours" programme at a temperature of 90 °C. Put a small amount of
washing powder in the main wash compartment of the detergent
compartment (maximum 1/3 of the amount recommended by
the detergent manufacturer for slightly soiled laundry). Start the
programme without loading laundry.
DAILY USE
Prepare your laundry in accordance with the recommendations in the
"HINTS AND TIPS" section. Load the laundry, close the door of the drum
and check that it is closed properly. Pour in the laundry detergent and
any other laundry additives. Follow the dosing recommendations on
the detergent packaging. Close the lid. Turn the programme selector
knob to the programme you want and select any additional option
you need. The display for the “Start/Pause” button flashes and the
display lights up for the preset spin speed. The spin speed can be set
by pressing the “Spin” button. Open the tap and press the "Start/Pause"
button to start the wash cycle. The "Start/Pause" icon lights up and
the door is locked. The remaining time in certain programme phases is
calculated again due to fluctuations in the load and temperature of the
supply water.
STOP OR CHANGE A RUNNING PROGRAMME
To stop the wash cycle, press the "Start/Pause" button, the indicator
light will flash. Select any new programme, temperature, options
or spin speed if you want to change these settings. Press the "Start/
Pause" button again to start the wash cycle at the point when it was
interrupted. Do not pour in any laundry detergent for this programme.
UNLOCKED DOOR LIGHT INDICATOR
Before the start of the programme and after the end of the programme,
the "Door unlocked" icon lights up to show that the lid can be opened.
As long as a washing programme is running, the lid stays locked and
must never be opened by force. If you absolutely must open it while
a programme is running, e.g. to add more laundry or remove laundry
that has been loaded by accident, press the "Start/Pause" button. If the
temperature is not too high, the "Door unlocked" icon will light up. You
will need to wait for a few minutes before you can open the lid. Press
the "Start/Pause" button to continue the programme.
END OF PROGRAMME
The “door unlocked” indicator lights up. Set the programme selector
knob to "O" and turn the tap off. Open the lid and the drum and unload
the machine. Leave the lid open for a while so that the interior of the
machine can dry. After about a quarter of an hour, the washing machine
will completely switch itself off in order to save energy.
To stop a running programme before the end of the cycle, press the
"Clear" button for at least 3 seconds. The water will drain. You will need
to wait for a few minutes before you can open the lid.
OPTIONS
! If the combination of a programme and additional option(s) is not
possible, the indicator lights will automatically switch o.
! Unsuitable combinations of options are automatically deselected.
Short
Enables faster washing by shortening the programme time. Suitable for
small loads or only slightly soiled laundry.
Intensive rinsing
Helps avoid residual laundry detergent in laundry by extending the
rinsing phase. Particularly suitable for cleaning baby laundry, for people
with allergies and in regions with soft water.
Start delay
To start the selected programme at a later time, press the "Delay Start"
button until the desired delayed time display lights up. The light for
the "Start delay" option button will light up and go out when the
programme starts. After the "Start/Pause" button has been pressed,
the delay time will be counted back. The preselected number of hours
can be reduced by pressing the "Start delay" button again. Do not use
liquid laundry detergent when activating this option. To delete the
"Start delay", turn the programme selector knob to another position.
Pre-wash
Only for heavily soiled loads (e.g. sand, grit). Increases the cycle time by
approx. 15 min. Do not use liquid laundry detergent for the main wash
if you activate the pre-wash option.
Energy saver
A lower temperature and slightly amended washing time achieves an
ideal combination of excellent cleaning results and even lower energy
consumption.
Spin
Each programme has a preset spin speed. If the spin speed needs to be
changed, press the "Spin" button. If the “0” spin speed is selected then
the following spin cycle is stopped, but there will be periods where
spinning is at its fastest. The water is only drained.
BLEACHING
Wash your laundry in the desired programme, cotton or synthetics, and
pour an appropriate amount of chlorine bleach in the fabric softener
compartment (close the lid carefully). As soon as the programme
ends, turn the "programme selector knob" and restart the desired
programme to remove bleach residue; if you want, you can add fabric
softener. Never put chlorine bleach and fabric softener in the fabric
softener compartment at the same time.
HINTS AND TIPS
Sort your laundry by
Fabric/care label (cotton, mixed laundry, synthetic fabrics, wool,
handwashing). Colour (separate coloured and white items, wash new
coloured items separately). Delicate laundry (wash small laundry items
– such as nylon tights – and laundry items with hooks – such as bras – in
a laundry bag or pillowcase with a zip).
Empty all pockets
Objects such as coins or lighters may damage both your laundry and
the drum.
