a. In frequency mode, press the key for more than 2 seconds. The radio will start scanning the frequency according to the set frequency step.
b. You can change the scanning directio n with the
/ keys.
c. Press the key to stop the scanning.

6.2.3 Channel Scanning
This function can scan t he channels.
a. In channels mode, press the key for more than 2 seconds. The ra dio will start scanning according to the c hannel yo u set.
b. You can change the scanning direction with the
/ keys.

6.2.4 Scan CTCSS

The function allows scanning the freque ncies with CTCSS tone ena bled.
a. In standby mode, press the[MENU] key, then press numeric keypad [1][6], “Scan CTCSS” will appear on the display.
b. Press the [MENU] key to star the scan of CTCSS tones.
NOTES: The function cannot be activated when the radio is set in Channel mode. The Scan will start only when the receiving band will detect
a signal.

6.3 Manual Programming (
This function allows scanning the frequencies wit h DCS code enable d.
a. In standby mode, press the[MENU] key, then press numeric keypad [1][7]; the display will show “Scan DCS”.
b. Press the [MENU] key to star the scan of DCS codes.
NOTES: The function cannot be activated when the radio is set in Channel mode. The Scan will start only when the receiving band will detect
a signal.
