Cover Stitch - Left Narrow - 3mm

The narrow cover stitch consists of two parallel rows of straight stitching on the topstitch of the

fabric with the chain looper thread on the underside of the fabric. This stitch is the garment in

-

dustry standard for hemming knit garments. A narrow cover stitch is ideal for fine knits such as

jersey and single knits for hemming or topstitching. While the cover stitch is commonly used on

knit fabrics it can also be used on light to medium weight wovens.

The Left Narrow Cover Stitch is formed using two "C" needle positions, C-1 and C-2 and the chain

looper for a finished stitch width of 3mm.

Instructions for Chain Looper port, Chain Needle(s) threading (See pages 19, 22, 24).

NOTE: All chain and cover stitches must be started with fabric under the needle(s). To chain-off

of the fabric refer to page 25.
