19.3 Wireless Network Connection
• Your TV set is equipped with a built-in
Wireless Wi-Fi Adapter to connect it to
wireless network.
• Wireless LAN adapter supports IEEE
802.11B/G and N communication proto-
cols. We recommend you to use IEEE
802.11N protocol to obtain the best per-
formance in HD video playback over wire-
less connection.
• If you use a modem that supports IEEE
802.11B/G, video playback performance
may be poor when compared to a mo-
dem that supports IEEE 802.11N since
the data transfer rate of IEEE 802.11B/G
protocol is lower.
• It is recommended to switch off the
equipment that are not in use in home
network in order to avoid unnecessary
network traffic.
• Placing the modem or wireless network
sharer on an elevated location will in-
crease the wireless connection reception
strength.
• Wireless connection reception strength
may vary depending on the type of the
modem and the distance between the
modem and television.
19.4 Wireless Network Settings
There are two ways for making the wireless
network settings.
1. Automatic Connection : all data regard-
ing connection settings ( IP Address,
Netmask, Gateway and DNS) are ob-
tained from modem automatically.
2. Manual Connection : all data regarding
connection settings (IP Address, Net-
mask, Gateway and DNS) must be con-
figured manually.
19.4.1 Technical Requirements
Most home networks are Dynamic Net-
works. If you have a dynamic network, you
must use a DSL modem that supports
DHCP. Modems and IP sharers supporting
DHCP receive IP Address, Netmask, Gate-
way and DNS values required for internet
access, thus your TV set connects to the
network automatically.
19.4.2 Auto Connection By Entering
the Network Password
1. From Home Screen menu, press .

3. Select Network and Internet option, and

4. Select the network you want to connect
and from the Available networks tab, se-
lect the network you want to connect to

ð Wireless connection password screen
will be displayed.

message will be displayed and modem
