7. STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
Warning
Do not store machine with fuel in an unventilated area where fuel vapors can reach flames,
sparks, pilot lights or any ignition source.
If the truck will not be used for a period longer than 30 days, follow the steps below to prepare
your unit for storage.
1. Drain the fuel tank completely. Stored fuel may contain chemicals and liquids that can
begin to spoil within 30 days. Deteriorated fuel has a high gum content and can clog
the carburetor and restrict fuel flow.
2. Start the engine and let it run until it stops. This ensures that no fuel remains in the
carburetor. Additionally, it will help prevent gum deposits from forming inside the
carburetor and possible engine damage.
3. While the engine is still warm, drain the engine oil. Fill with new oil of the grade
recommended in the engine manual.
4. Use clean cloths to clean the outside of the machine and keep the air vents free of
obstructions.
Warning
Do not use harsh detergents or chemical-based cleaners when cleaning plastic parts.
Chemicals can damage plastics.
5. Inspect for loose or damaged parts. Repair or replace damaged parts and tighten any
loose screws, nuts or bolts.
6. Store your unit on level ground in a clean, dry location with good ventilation.
8. PROBLEM RESOLUTION
In the event of any serious problem, the user must consult with the authorized technical service
for the repair and inspection of the machine. This troubleshooting table below is a guide that
aims to save you from having to go to your technical center for easily solved problems.
Problem
Possible cause Solution
The engine will not start.
Spark plug wire disconnected.
Connect the spark plug wire firmly to the
spark plug.
Out of fuel or spent fuel. Fill with fresh, clean gasoline.
The choke is not in the open
position.
The throttle must be placed in CHOKE for
a cold start.
Blocked fuel system. Clean the fuel system.
Dirty spark plug Clean, adjust gap or replace.
Engine flooded.
Wait a few minutes to restart, but do not
prime.
Loose spark plug wire. Connect and tighten the spark plug wire.
