If the reading is not within the required range, follow the steps below to adjust the tracks.
1. Turn on the machine, slowly control the tilt valve controls to tilt the hopper to the
maximum position, and turn off the machine.
2. When the reading is too large, screw the adjusting nut counterclockwise as shown in
Fig. 1, until the track tension reaches the appropriate range.
3. When the reading is too small, screw the adjusting nut clockwise as shown in Fig. 2
until the track tension reaches the appropriate range.
4. Make sure there is no one in the dangerous area under the hopper, slowly control the
tilt valve lever to return the hopper to the original position with manual help.

Warning
Don't overtighten. Track adjustment and brakes are linked. Braking power will decrease the
tighter the track is.
If the adjusting nut no longer has any adjustment, the tracks may need to be replaced.
6.4. Replacing the tracks
Periodically check the condition of the tracks. If any are cracked or frayed, they should be
replaced as soon as convenient.
1. Raise the hopper and insert a support rod for safety. (1)
2. Raise the machine and place it on blocks or stands rated for the weight of the machine
so that the tracks are approximately 4” off the ground.
