• It is always recommended to store the unit with batteries removed, when not
in use. Recharging the batteries every 2-3 months will help to extend their
charging reliability.
• It is recommended to store the device with the lens cap closed at all times.
• Occasionally, extreme temperature shifts may causing condensation to form
on the outer germanium lens. In this scenario, use a soft cloth to gently wipe
the lens clean. As the unit becomes acclimates to the outer temperature,
condensation should dissipate.
NOTES:
• The detector spectral band provides better visibility through smoke, dust,
rain, smog, etc.
• Infrared radiation does not travel through glass. As a result, the clip-on does
not detect objects if they are behind glass windows or other barriers.
