2.1.5 POWER ON AND OFF
Power On
With the battery installed, press and hold the POWER button
to turn on the
device. The red LED indicator on the POWER button will light up.
NOTE
See the battery icon on the device display to check the battery charge. Icon
means the battery is fully charged, and icon means that the battery is low.
When the low power note shows, replace the batteries.
Power Off
When the device is turned on, hold the POWER button
to turn off the device.
Auto Power Off
In the “Auto Power Off” submenu of General Settings you can set the time for
the automatic shutdown of the device as required (OFF / 15 min / 30 min / 45
min. See 2.2.23 for details).
The Auto Power Off countdown will start again when the device exits standby
mode, or the device is restarted.
2.1.6 STANDBY MODE
Standby mode is used to save battery power. In this mode, some power-
consuming features such as the display, network hardware, or internal storage
will be temporarily disabled.
In the view mode, press the POWER button
. After a few seconds, the display
will turn off. Press the POWER button again to exit the Standby mode.
2.1.7 VIEWING THE THERMAL IMAGE
1. Install the Rattler-C V² with a day scope (refer to part 2.1.13 or 2.1.14). Verify
that the clip-on is securely mounted.
2. Remove the protective caps.
3. Point the equipment at an object.
4. Activate the Rattler-C V².
5. If the day scope includes a focusing ring (i.e., parallax adjustment knob),
adjust the focus for a parallax-free image.
6. Turn on the day scopes reticle illumination and adjust the reticle brightness.
7. Adjust the focus of Rattler-C V² by turning the focus ring.
8. Configure the Rattler-C V² for your specific situation. Set display mode,
brightness, contrast to display the best image effect.

2.1.8 ON-SCREEN DISPLAY
On-screen interface displays the menu items and device status indicators.
Use the MENU button
in the view mode to display or hide the menu.
Press the IMAGE button
in the view mode to display or hide the On-Screen
Display (OSD) information.
