Chapter 2 System Setup
2.6 Troubleshooting
When the system behaves abnormally, such as the in the conditions described in the
sections below, please refer to the below instructions for troubleshooting.
2.6.1 POC not powering on
If the power button does not power on the unit (the green power indicator is still off),
please check:
1. Check the AC adapter power cord and plug.
2. Check that the adapter and DC-in plug are connected in the correct direction.
3. Check that the AC adapter is properly connected to the AC power outlet.
4. If not using an AC adapter (battery powered mode), please check that the bat-
tery is installed properly with sufficient charge. Remove the battery pack and
press the charge indicator button on the battery pack.
The illuminated LEDs represent the battery’s state of charge.
2.6.2 Adapter power LED is off
The adapter green LED remains off.
1) Check the AC power cord and plug are connected properly.
2) Check the AC power cord is properly plugged into the power outlet.
2.6.3 The POC system powers on but does not boot to Windows
The POC display shows a black background with some words.
1. Check that Windows OS is installed properly.
2. Check that the BIOS boot order is set up properly. Please set up the BIOS boot
devices through the following procedure:
a) Press the “Del” key during power-up to access the BIOS menu.
b) Select Boot Option #1 – Select “Windows Boot Manager (Storage name)”
c) Save & Exit – Save Changes and Reset – Select Yes
d) The POC system will reset and boot up.
