Appendix B: data line termination
This chapter will cover the rules about termination on the DMX and ADN networks.
Situation A: Independent ADN cables
This is the case where a dedicated cable is installed for ADN. Termination of the DMX network is
independent of the ADN system.
Example No. 1: the NETPORT XT is at one end of the ADN daisy-chain, in the control room or in
the dimmer room. Then you must terminate the ADN data pair at the other end of the ADN line.
Example No. 2: the NETPORT XT is inserted in the daisy-chain e.g. on stage. You must terminate
the ADN data pair at both ends.
