Battery
voltage
Indicates the battery voltage. Under 7.60V, the low
battery warning may be displayed
Key lock
Indicates that the front and side key lock is active
and that it must be unlocked in order to use them.
Battery
indicator
Allows an immediate reading of the remaining
battery charge, proportional to the number of
segments (from 0 to 4) displayed.
CT
Tone squelch
decoder

VOX function
Indicates that the VOX function is active: using this
function, the device can be switched to
transmission without pressing the relative button

Channel
Indicates which of the 8 available channels has
been selected for communication.
Other indications that can be displayed are to be considered service-
related, cannot be changed and do not provide information useful to the
user.
5. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
5.1 – Power on/o
To switch the device on, simply turn the power/volume knob to the right until
a click is heard. The display will show the operating instructions and the
device emits a specic tone conrming that it has been switched on. To
switch the device o, perform the same procedure in reverse, i.e., turn the
knob to the left until a click is heard. The display will switch o along with
any active functions. To optimise the battery life and prevent unnecessary
power wastage, the device should be turned o if it is not expected to be
used again straight away. With the device switched o, all functions are
