• A damaged or tangled cable increases the risk of electric shock. Handle the cable with care.
Never use the cable to carry, pull or disconnect the power tool. Keep the cable away from
heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
• The machine may only be used if the power supply is protected by a residual current circuit
breaker.
• Use the machine only when the ON-OFF switch is in good working order.
12.6 Special safety instructions for this machine
• Make sure that the directional arrow marked on the diamond disc corresponds with the
rotating direction of the motor.
• Make sure that the cut-off workpiece (tile,...) has sufficient room to move sideways. Failure
to do so may lead to the cut-off being wedged against the diamond disc.
• Only cut one workpiece (tile,...) at a time.
• Before starting the cutting process, wait until the diamond disc has reached full speed.
• Before removing a splinter or tile section, wait until the diamond disc has come to a
complete standstill.
• Make sure that pieces of tile that have been cut off are not caught by the diamond disc and
thrown away.
• Never let the diamond disc run dry. Failure to keep the water tank topped up will result in
possible over-heating and damage of the diamond disc.
• Adopt a working position to the left of the diamond disc.
• If the workpiece (tile,...) or the diamond disc got stuck, switch off the machine immediately
and disconnect the power supply plug. Clear up the fragments. Before switching on the
machine, ensure that the diamond disc and guards are not damaged.
• Use only diamond discs for which the maximum possible speed is higher than the
maximum spindle speed of the machine.
• Only use undamaged diamond discs. Replace damaged diamond discs immediately.
12.7 Hazard warnings
12.7.1 Residual risks
Despite intended use, certain residual risk factors remain.
• Risk of injury to hands/fingers from the cutting blades during operation.
• Risk of injury to hands/fingers from crushing between moving and fixed parts (hold-down
devices, stops, workpiece supports, etc.).
• Risk of injury due to splintering of the workpiece during the cutting process.
• Risk of injury from the workpiece falling down.
• Risk of cutting hands/fingers on the cutting edges of the workpiece.
• Risk of injury from the machine tipping over.
• Risk of injury from improper maintenance work.
12.7.2 Hazardous situations
Despite intended use, certain residual risk factors remain. Due to the structure and construction of
the machine, hazardous situations may occur which are identified in this manual as follows:
A safety instruction designed in this way indicates an imminently hazardous situation
which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.
A safety instruction designed in this way indicates a potentially hazardous situation
which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
