When [SQL] turns orange, the VOL meter below the frequency of the RX band will
change to the SQL meter showing the squelch level setting.

Adjusting the transmit power
The transmit power can be reduced to save on power consumption.
1 Touch [SETUP]
The setup mode screen will appear.
2 Touch [Tx PWR] to select the transmit power
The setting is changed in the following sequence, each time [Tx PWP] is touched.
“HI”→“LO”→“MD”
HI MD LO
50 W 20 W 5 W
Tips • The current setting is displayed below [Tx PWR] on the screen.
• Factory default: HI
