WARNING! Switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains
before you install any carbon filters (use the relevant fuse in your
household fuse box).
HOW TO INSTALL THE CARBON FILTERS
This chapter only describes a common installation of carbon filters in a
standard extractor hood. Modifications for different appliance models are
possible.
The number of aluminium grease filters depends on the model of the extractor
hood. The number of grease filters for your appliance model is indicated in the
chapter « TECHNICAL DATA ». A standard appliance model with only one
grease filter is used here as an example.
1. Open the appliance.
2. Remove the aluminium grease filter: press the locking button on the handle
(C) of the aluminium grease filter to release the grease filter from its lock. Then
remove the aluminium grease filter.
Behind the aluminium grease filter is the motor of the appliance. The carbon
filters are installed on the motor.
3. The CARBON FILTERS are intended to be installed on both sides of the motor.
4. Place the CARBON FILTER on the motor and turn it clockwise until it is firmly
tightened (s. fig. below).
