IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Please read all of the instructions before you begin using the product. This is for your own
protection and it also helps you to avoid damaging the product.
• Before the product is used, remove all packaging and inspect the product for damage. If the
product is damaged or if you are suspect it might be, please contact the store that you bought it
from. DO NOT begin using the product if it is damaged.
• Do not use the scale for any purpose other than the intended use. The warranty will lapse if the
scale is used for purposes not described in the instructions.
• The product can be used by children from the age of 8 and by people with limited physical, sensory
or mental abilities or who lack experience/knowledge if they are being supervised or have been
instructed in how to safely use the product and understand the associated dangers.
• Do not allow children to play with the product.
• The scale is only intended for private use – not for professional use.
• Cleaning and maintenance may not be performed by children unless they are 8 or older and under
supervision.
• DANGER! Keep packaging out of reach of children. There is a risk of strangulation!
• CAUTION! Never attempt to open and/or repair the product yourself.
GENERAL INFORMATION
• Place the scale on a firm and level surface. Never use the scale on a slippery or wet surface.
• Handle the scale with caution. Do not put weight on the scale when you are not using it and do not
place objects on the scale when it is not in use.
• Protect the scale against moisture.
• Make sure that the scale is not soaked in water as this may damage the electronics.
• Do not use chemical cleaning agents.
• Clean the scale with a damp cloth and make sure water does not get into the scale.
• The scale is a high-precision weighing device. Do not drop it. Do not attempt to take the scale apart.
Handle the scale carefully so that it does not break while moving it.
• Make sure that the scale is stored in an upright position.
• Do not place heavy objects on the scale when it is not being used.
• Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of the scale.
• Avoid strong impacts from heat, cold or water or sudden shaking movements. The scale is a
delicate device that is sensitive to all unintentional external impacts.
• Due to continual improvements being made, the manufacturer reserves the right to make product
changes without prior notice.
• This product uses AAA batteries.
• The batteries need to be inserted correctly with the positive and negative polarities in their correct
positions. The polarities are clearly marked in the battery compartment.
• If the display shows LO indicating low power, please replace the battery of the electronic scale
timely.
• Non-rechargeable batteries may NOT be recharged.
• Rechargeable batteries must be removed from the product before they are recharged.
• Different types of batteries or new and used batteries may not be mixed.
• Used batteries must be removed from the product and disposed of safely and correctly.
• If the product is not used for an extended period of time, the batteries must be removed.
• WARNING: All battery clamps/terminals must be protected from short circuiting.
• WARNING: The batteries may present a strangulation hazard. Store the batteries and any other
small components outside the reach of children.
• Seek immediate medical assistance if you or your child has swallowed a battery!
