Multi Zone
On the bottom right of the refrigerator compartment, a ‘Multi zone’ is also possible. This zone can be used as
both a refrigerator and a freezer with a range of 5°C to -3°C. The convertible zone can be set using button ‘B’. At
that point, the digital temperature display ashes. With button ‘B’ you can select the temperatures or switch off the
‘Convertible zone’. This is shown on the display with (--).
Mode settings
With button D: ‘MODE’ you can set the preferred mode. With it you can switch between the ‘Eco’, ‘Vacation’,
‘Super Freeze’ or ‘Settings’ modes. And lock or unlock the control panel if you press and hold the button for three
seconds.
Mode - ECO
Press mode to select ECO mode. After ashing for ve seconds, the ECO icon stays bright to enter ECO mode. The
refrigerator temperature goes to 6°C and the freezer goes to -16°C.
Mode - Vacation
This function can be used during long-term absence. When the vacation mode is switched on, the refrigerator
temperature is 17 degrees Celsius and the freezer temperature is set to -18 degrees Celsius. To activate vacation
mode, press the ‘Mode’ button (D). The vacation symbol (2) will light up.
To deactivate vacation mode: press the same button for ve seconds. The vacation symbol (2) on the display will go
out. The appliance will return to the last set refrigerator and freezer temperatures.
Mode - Super Freeze
When this function is selected, the freezer is additionally cooled; the temperature is temporarily reduced (for 50
hours) to -25 degrees Celsius. This function can be used if many products are placed in the freezer at the same
time. Rapid cooling of the freezer is benecial as it prevents the loss of nutritional value of the food and keeps the
freshness intact.
Press the ‘Mode’ button (button D) and select ‘Super Freeze’: the ‘Super Freeze’ symbol (3) on the display lights up.
The ‘Super Freeze’ mode automatically switches off after 50 hours after switching on, and the freezer temperature
will return to the last set temperature.
Door alarm
If the door remains open for more than 60 seconds, the door alarm goes off until the door is closed. The alarm
sounds every 30 seconds until the door is closed.
4.3 DAILY USE
Cooling food
• Always refer to the expiry date of the products to know how long they can be stored.
• Pack food in resealable plastic bags, especially if it has a strong taste, and place them on the glass shelves
above the crisper drawer. Store food only one or at most two days in this way.
• Store raw meat and sh in appropriate food containers in the refrigerator so that it does not leak or come into
contact with other foods.
• Do not place hot food or hot plastic parts in the appliance. Make sure it has cooled to room temperature before
putting it in the appliance.
• Cooked food that has cooled sufciently must be covered and can then be placed on any shelf.
• Do not place foods containing a lot of water too close to the back wall of the refrigerator to prevent them from
freezing to the inner wall.
• It is best to clean and dry food before storing it in the appliance. It is advisable to store food in sealed
packaging in the appliance. This prevents evaporation of water, which keeps fruit and vegetables fresh and
also prevents odours.
Freezing food
• The freezer compartment is suitable for freezing fresh food and storing frozen food for a long time.
• The freezing process takes 24 hours. Do not add any other food to freeze during this period.
• Only freeze fresh and thoroughly cleaned foods.
• Prepare the food in small portions so that it is soon completely frozen and can then be thawed in the desired
amount.
• Pack the food in aluminium foil or freezer bags and make sure the packets are airtight.
